Thursday 26 November 2021, KMUTT, together with Saijo Denki International Co., Ltd. jointly donated ice machine manufactured for surgery by Thai firm to Chulalongkorn hospital, Thailand Red Cross to be used in thoracic surgery. The machine was designed by Prof. Dr. Somchai Wongwisate and company from Department of Mechanical Engineering Faculty of Engineering KMUTT and was manufactured by Saijo Denki International Co., Ltd. The delivery ceremony was honored by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suwit Sae-Tia, the dean of KMUTT, with Prof. Dr. Somchai Wongwisate, from Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yossapong La-Or-Nuan, assistant dean of KMUTT for sustainable development, and Thanyawat Jittipalangsri, assistant manager from Saijo Denki International Co., Ltd. as presenters. The ice machines were received by Prof. M.D. Wichai Benjachonlamas, Thoracic Surgery Unit, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, M.D.Patchara Ongcharit, head of thoracic surgery unit  Asst. (special) M.D. Surin Assawawitoonthip, assistant director for public relation, Paweena Nanna, inspector for surgical nurse work group, and Patcharaporn Yodpetch, head of ward for thoracic surgery, Chulalongkorn hospital. The ceremony was held at Chulalongkorn hospital, Thai Red Cross Society.
