King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), led by the Sustainable Activity Promotion team from the Energy, Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health Center (EESH Center), in collaboration with the KMUTT Student Affairs Office and the Student Financial Assistance team, organized a training program on waste management and set up booths for sustainable development activities focusing on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This was part of the 29th Inter-University Sports Science Games, also known as the “Quack Quack Games” (ATOM GAMES #29), held on June 8-9, 2023, at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi.

The Green Heart student group took the lead in volunteer waste management activities, introducing an innovative concept called the “Speaker Bin” or talking trash bins. These bins provided environmental awareness to those disposing of waste, instilling a sense of environmental responsibility. This initiative not only aims to foster a sustainable green society for the future but also to build a knowledge-sharing network among universities. The event received positive feedback and appreciation from participants and served as a model for future events. More than 500 people participated in this activity, aligning with the SDGs 2030, specifically Goal 12, which focuses on ensuring sustainable consumption and production patterns, and Goal 17, which emphasizes the importance of partnership for sustainable development.
