The Energy Environmental Safety and Health Office (EESH) organized a basic firefighting training session for the staff of the President’s Office Building at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, Bang Mod campus. This training, compliant with the standards of the Department of Welfare and Labour Protection, Ministry of Labour, included evacuation leaders and the emergency response team of the President’s Office Building, staff, and officers. The event took place on February 12, 2024, in meeting room 702 of the Multi-Purpose Building, with instructors from the Bang Khun Non Fire and Rescue Station and Rat Burana Fire and Rescue Station delivering the basic firefighting course. This training aimed to prepare personnel, students, emergency teams, and security guards with the knowledge and skills for initial emergency response, focusing on readiness to use firefighting equipment correctly and manage emergencies effectively. Over 50 participants attended this session, aligning with laws and policies on energy, environmental safety, and occupational health management. This initiative supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, and Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, emphasizing the importance of safety within the university community.
