On March 18, 2023, the Energy, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Management Center (EESH Center) organized a basic firefighting training course in accordance with the standards of the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, Ministry of Labour. This training was targeted at staff, officials, and students of the KMUTT Bang Mod student dormitory and took place in the Jamruschaiyapong Meeting Room, General Education Building 2.

The training featured experts from the Rat Burana District Fire Station, who delivered lectures on basic firefighting techniques. This session was designed to prepare personnel, emergency response team members, and security staff with the knowledge and skills to handle initial emergency situations effectively. The training emphasized readiness in emergency response and the correct use of firefighting equipment to efficiently manage initial incidents. Over 100 individuals participated in the training.

This basic firefighting course is not only a regulatory compliance but also aligns with the EESH’s policies on energy, environmental, safety, and occupational health management. It supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, and Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, focusing on the safety and well-being of university personnel.
