The Energy, Environment, Safety, and Health Center (EESH) at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), Bang Mod, conducted a practical training workshop on energy, environmental, and safety management systems on August 27, 2022. This training, tailored for officers and contract employees at KMUTT Bang Mod, was conducted in the New Normal format.
The workshop was designed to enhance awareness and understanding of the KMUTT New Normal system, including energy management, waste management, laboratory safety standards in Thailand, and emergency response techniques within the university. It targeted cleaning staff, security personnel, maintenance staff, and gardeners. Faculty from the EESH Center and student leaders from the Green Heart initiative provided the training.
The aim was to unify practices across the university, promoting sustainable green university initiatives. The training adhered to social distancing principles and KMUTT New Normal operational guidelines. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, specifically Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, emphasizing the safety of university personnel, Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, promoting policies against the use of foam and single-use plastics, and Goal 13: Climate Action, focusing on environmental conservation and energy efficiency to combat global warming.
