On April 11, 2023, the Energy, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Management Center (EESH), led by a team of instructors from the EESH Center and the Green Heart student group, organized the “Novice Monks Save the Earth” event for the 18th batch of novice monks in the summer ordination program in honor of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s birthday on April 2nd. The event was held at Wat Pho Thong School.
The EESH instructors and Green Heart student group facilitated activities to raise awareness about energy, the environment, and safety within the framework of sustainability. The event aimed to instill environmental management consciousness and promote good energy conservation practices through interactive learning games. This initiative also fostered a collaborative network between the community and the participants, enhancing awareness of energy and environmental conservation. The activities were designed to lead to tangible conservation practices at the community level.
Over 100 participants joined the event, which aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, specifically Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 13: Climate Action, Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals. This initiative demonstrates the commitment to educating young minds about environmental stewardship and sustainable practices.
