On August 26, 2022, Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai Campus visited the waste and waste management system of King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) at the Energy, Environment, Safety, and Health Center (EESH), in collaboration with the Office of Building and Location Management. The visit was led by Mr. Patison Wisesawasit, Deputy Director of the Office of Building and Location Management, along with the operational team.

Associate Professor Dr. Vasin Suwanarat, Vice President of the Hat Yai Campus, along with other executives and professors from Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai Campus, were welcomed to learn about KMUTT’s waste management system at the Multidisciplinary Learning Building. Mr. Patison Wisesawasit and faculty from the EESH Center lectured on KMUTT’s Green University initiatives and waste management system.

The visitors then toured and studied the waste management system of KMUTT, presented by the team from the Office of Building and Location Management and the EESH Center at the waste sorting facility. They also discussed waste-to-energy management at the BIOGAS Learning Center. The visit concluded with a tour of the model laboratory and hazardous waste management inside the Food Engineering Laboratory, where laboratory officials provided detailed information throughout the tour.

The visiting delegation expressed keen interest and inquired about various aspects related to sustainable management, green university practices, and becoming a model university in waste and waste management.
